RAWALPINDI, Sep 23 (APP): Door-to-door vaccination teams across Rawalpindi district covered over 450,000 households and vaccinated more than 65,000 previously missed children during the first two days of the ongoing anti-polio drive, officials revealed during an executive review on Wednesday.
Presiding over the performance meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, alongside CEO Health Dr Ehsan Ghani and ADC Social Services Fazail Mudassar, evaluated tehsil-level field reports and catch-up metrics on the campaign’s third day.
Field reports showed that vaccinators reached over 226,000 households on the second day alone, ensuring robust coverage across urban and rural union councils.
Directing supervisors to maintain strict field monitoring during the remaining days of the drive, DC Nadeem Nasir ordered dedicated catch-up operations to cover every remaining missed child and high-risk pocket across the district.
