Case registered against Irrigation officials over water theft
MUZAFFARGARH, Sep 23 (APP):The Anti-Corruption Establishment has registered a case against officials and employees of the Irrigation Department over alleged non-supply of canal water to the lands of Sardar Kora Khan Trust and alleged water theft in Jatoi.
According to the case details, the action was taken over allegations that canal water was not being provided to the Trust’s lands as per requirement, while water was allegedly being diverted illegally.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment also arrested Dilshad Hussain, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Canal Division Jatoi, in connection with the alleged water theft.
The case has been registered against the concerned Irrigation Department officials and employees, while further investigation into the allegations is underway.
