KP government urged improvement in governance, transparent probe into financial scams
ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP):PML-N MNA Babar Nawaz on Wednesday said the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were misleading the nation and pursuing the politics of unrest instead of focusing on the uplift of people.
Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad along with ANP leader Samar Bilour and PML-N leader Saeeda Jamshed, Nawaz highlighted that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was indulged in corruption in areas public welfare.
Babar Nawaz mentioned that the medical and education services in KP needed attention of the provincial government.
He pointed out that several hospitals in KP were in unsatisfactory condition while hundreds of schools had no teachers available.
He said that public money in KP was being squandered and the many hospitals in the province had turned into dispensaries.
Babar Nawaz said there should be no leniency with the people who were trying to create unrest in the country.
He referred to the statements by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reaching Islamabad on September 27 and bringing everything to a standstill, and questioned that how legal action after such statements could be considered wrong.
ANP leader Samar Bilour said there was no real governance in KP and people were facing difficulties.
She pointed out the corruption and irregularities in KP government including the award of contracts worth billions in contracts.
The leaders demanded improvement in law and order, provision of basic facilities and transparent probe into alleged financial irregularities.
