Pakistan, Austria reaffirm commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation
NEW YORK, Sep 23 (APP): Pakistan and Austria on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, economic relations, education, and people-to-people ties.
The commitment was expressed during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Austria bilateral relations.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East. DPM/FM underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of disputes, in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
