PM praises Pakistan Navy, Coast Guards for foiling major smuggling bid in Balochistan
NEW YORK, Sep 23 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday commended the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards for successfully foiling a major smuggling attempt in the Pashkan area of Balochistan.
In a joint anti-smuggling operation, a large cache of contraband items —including liquor and illegal medicines—was seized.
Appreciating the operation, the prime minister, who is currently in the United States to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, said that inter-agency coordination was important to root out the menace of smuggling from the country.
The prime minister also commended the professional competence, vigilance, and readiness of the personnel who participated in the operation.
