FAISALABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Second phase of FCCI (Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry) election for 2026-28 has been completed with the polling for associate class. As many as 16 candidates were in the field for 14 seats for this class.
According to the unofficial and provisional results, Muhammad Saeed of M/s. New Prime Electric Cables got 1299 votes, Muhammad Azhar of M/s. AT Foods 1281, Muhammad Fazil of M/s. National Traders 1283, Faisal Naeem Paracha of M/s. Choudhary Traders 1275, Muhammad Umar of M/s. Mujadid and Sons 1291, Asim Habib of M/s. Chaudhry Traders 1284, Muhammad Yousaf of M/s. Cotton Yacht Fashion 1329, Muhammad Javed Sharif of M/s. Asad Textiles 1296, Muhammad Mughees of M/s. Al-Hira International 1288, Muhammad Tanveer Riaz of M/s. Friends Traders 1295, Muhammad Farasat Ali of M/s. World Cup Hosiery and Knitwear 1293, Muhammad Asif of M/s. Isha Textile 1259, Abdul Salam Shahid of M/s. Star Plus International 1225, Sadaqat Hussain Khan of M/s. Punjab Public School 1180, Asghar Ali of M/s. B&Z Traders 297 and Zubair Ahmad of M/s. Saleem & Sons got 257 votes. Thus, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Azhar, Muhammad Fazil, Faisal Naeem Paracha, Mohammad Umar, Asim Habib, Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Javed Sharif, Muhammad Mughees, Muhammad Tanveer Riaz, Muhammad Farasat Ali, Muhammad Asif, Abdul Salam Shahid and Sadaqat Hussain Khan were declared successful. These candidates have been elected for a term of two years.
Members FCCI Election Commission Atif Munir Sheikh, Muzammil Sultan and Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz have said that total number of votes for the associate class was 4660 out of which 1522 votes were cast and 52 votes were cancelled. The number of valid voters was 1470.
The elections were held in a peaceful and most congenial environment and no candidate raised any objection during the polling process.
The lawyers, journalists and representatives of civil society continued to visit the chamber and expressed satisfaction over the polling and congratulated the FCCI Election Commission for conducting the election in a most impartial, peaceful and transparent manner.
Members election commission Atif Munir Sheikh, Muzammil Sultan and Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz announced the provisional results and congratulated the successful candidates.
Mian Muhammad Adrees and Mian Javed Iqbal also congratulated the winning candidates and said that it is confidence, the business community has reposed in the National Group because of its untiring efforts for the business community.
They said that the National Group would continue its effort to facilitate the business community from the platform of FCCI.
After completion of the Electoral College, eligible candidates for executive could submit their nomination papers for the offices of the President, Senior Vice President and Vice President.
The nomination papers would be received up to 25 September while its scrutiny would be completed the same day.
The polling for the election of office bearers is scheduled to be held on September 28, 2026.
The final and official results of FCCI Elections 2026-28 would be announced during FCCI Annual General Meeting on September 30, 2026.
