Commissioner orders for removal of tanker parking,roadside stalls pushcarts
KARACHI, Sep 22 (APP):Assistant Commissioner Javeria Ashraf led an operation against encroachments on Main Korangi Road, resulting in the removal of tanker parking, roadside stalls and pushcarts.
The action was taken on the directives of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, said a spokesperson on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner Karachi, tanker parking and roadside stalls in front of Defence Mall on Korangi Road had been causing frequent traffic congestion and inconvenience to citizens.
The operation was carried out with the participation of the Anti-Encroachment Department, the Anti-Encroachment Wing of the Town Municipal Administration and the police.
Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi personally supervised the operation and directed the Assistant Commissioner to maintain continuous monitoring of the area.
He directed that effective measures be taken to ensure that encroachments are not re-established and that the smooth flow of traffic is maintained.
