Attempted assault suspect, four gamblers held in Attock
ATTOCK, Sep 22 (APP):Bahtar police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman after entering her house, and in a separate action, nabbed four alleged gamblers recovering Rs 90,200 stake money.
Police said a woman lodged a complaint that she was present at home with her two daughters when Bilal Afzal, resident of Dhok Baloch, Tehsil Fateh Jang, allegedly scaled the boundary wall, entered the house and tried to assault her. On her hue and cry, the accused fled the scene.
Acting promptly on the complaint, Bahtar police arrested the nominated accused Bilal Afzal within a short time and started further investigation into the incident.
In another raid near Tarbethi Darbar, police on a tip-off about gambling in an open place, arrested four accused identified as Muhammad Rafiq, Ahmad Khan, Aqeel Khan and Naeem Shahid Khan, despite their attempt to escape. Police seized Rs 90,200 allegedly staked on cards and registered a case for further legal action.
