UNITED NATIONS, Sep 22 (APP):US President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as a “terrific man” during his address to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan, terrific man, said that Donald Trump was responsible for saving thirty million lives and probably many more than that,” Trump noted, as he credited his administration’s diplomatic efforts with stopping the May 2025 conflict between Pakistan and India.

Trump noted that he helped end multiple global conflicts and received letters of thanks from world leaders for his mediation roles.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in New York for the 81st UNGA session.

The Pakistani leader will address the 193-member Assembly on Sep 25.
