FAISALABAD, Sep 22 (APP):The implementation of “Apna Khet-Apna Rozgar” was ongoing with a brisk

pace in the division as per the vision of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

In this regard, 2092 allotment letters had so far been distributed among

farmers, out of total 2598, while 1830 farmers was got occupation on the lands.

This was disclosed in a meeting held with Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh

here on Tuesday in the chair.

Deputy Commissioners of the division briefed the meeting about the implementation

of the scheme in their respective districts.

It was told in the meeting that 2577 specimens of soils out of 2635 lots had been

taken and water samples collected from 1440 different areas had been sent to the

lab for analysis.

The Commissioner directed to ensure distribution of allotment letters to other farmers also.

He directed for launching an awareness campaign for the farmers to motivate them

to cultivate wheat crops of allotted lots.

He said the scheme was a revolutionary step for the unemployed people.

He also directed to speed up recovery of revenue under different heads.
