International workshop on Paeds Surgery opens in Karachi
KARACHI, Sep 22 (APP):Internationally renowned paediatric urologist are meeting in the city on September 23, to discuss congenital urinary disorders, which are commonly found among male infants of developing countries.
A three-day workshop and interactive discussion exercise is organized by SIUT (Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation). Globally renowned surgeons, who are going to be part of the deliberation include Dr Warren T. Snodgrass, Dr Nicol C. Bush from the United States, Dr Gianantonio Manzoni from Italy, and Dr Philip G. Ransley from the United Kingdom.
A press release issued by the Paediatric Department of SIUT disclosed that Dr Snodgrass and Dr Nicol Bush happened to the pioneers who brought a revolution in their surgical approach by achieving success in short as well as long term surgical program.
The surgical technique the press release informed that Dr. Sajid Sultan of SIUT, who closely worked with Dr Manzoni, introduced the surgical techniques in the infant population of Pakistan.
The three-day workshop will demonstrate and discuss a wide range of cases reported in the Children’s Hospital of SIUT.
More than 400 surgeons from all over Pakistan are expected to attend the workshop and help to advance the care of children suffering with “hypospadias” in all parts of the country and other parts of Asia.
