RAWALPINDI, Sep 22 (APP):Secretary General for Defence and National Security (SGDSN) of France, Nicolas Roche accompanied by Ambassador of France to Pakistan Jean-Noël Poirier called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ here on Tuesday at General Headquarters (GHQ).
During the meeting matters of mutual interest, including regional security, bilateral cooperation in defence and security domains were discussed, said a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening of bilateral ties and further enhancing defence and security cooperation.
Nicolas Roche acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace, stability and reciprocated France’s interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
