PMYP, JA Pakistan pact to empower young talent
ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP):The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and Junior Achievement Pakistan (JA Pakistan) on Tuesday signed a strategic Letter of Intent (LOI) in Islamabad to expand opportunities for Pakistani youth through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, work readiness skills and practical learning, while linking education and skills development with real-world economic opportunities.
Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan witnessed the signing ceremony held at the PMYP Head Office, which was attended by senior representatives of both organisations, government officials and key stakeholders working in youth development.
The LOI was formally signed by JA Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Hassan Noor Pagganwala and PMYP Deputy Director Amsal Zaman.
Under the partnership, both organisations will combine JA Pakistan’s experiential learning expertise with PMYP’s nationwide outreach and youth-focused initiatives to equip young people with essential financial literacy, entrepreneurial capabilities, work-readiness skills and practical knowledge.
The collaboration will also explore opportunities to support youth development through initiatives linked with Daanish Schools and other youth-focused programmes of the PMYP, helping connect education and skills development with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted the importance of equipping young people with relevant skills, entrepreneurial knowledge and meaningful opportunities to support their personal growth and contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to quality learning, strengthening youth capabilities and creating pathways for young Pakistanis to become productive contributors to the national economy.
The PMYP continues to collaborate with public and private sector partners to expand opportunities for young people in education, skills development, entrepreneurship, employment and innovation.
