Open court held in Union Murmai, Shounter to address public issues

ASTORE, Sep 22 (APP):On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Astore Madam Neelam Ali, an open court (Khuli Kachehri) was held in Union Murmai, Shounter, under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Shounter Tauseeq Ahmed. Officers of various government departments, concerned officials, local elders and residents attended the open court

Executive Engineer Works Inamullah, Tehsildar Shounter Abdul Qadeer and SDO Ghulam Hussain, along with officials from the Livestock, Education, Water and Power, Health, Food, Forest and Wildlife departments, were also present on the occasion.

During the open court, residents of Union Murmai and adjoining areas directly presented their various problems, difficulties and complaints before the concerned officials. The people apprised the authorities of issues relating to basic facilities, electricity, water, education, health, food, roads, construction and repair works, livestock and other sectors.

Assistant Commissioner Shounter Tauseeq Ahmed listened in detail to the issues and complaints raised by the people and obtained detailed briefings from the concerned departmental officers present on each matter. He directed the officers to take practical measures for resolving public issues on a priority basis and ensure their resolution within the stipulated timeframe in accordance with the law and rules.

He said that the district administration was utilizing all available resources to provide basic facilities to the people at their doorstep and ensure timely redressal of their grievances. He said the purpose of holding open courts was to further strengthen interaction between the public and government institutions, listen directly to public complaints, and ensure resolution of issues by determining the responsibilities of the concerned departments.

The Assistant Commissioner further directed the concerned officers to regularly apprise the administration of progress on the issues highlighted during the open court so that the process of redressal of complaints could be effectively monitored.

The people of the area appreciated the holding of the open court and thanked the district administration and concerned departments, expressing hope that the issues raised would be resolved at the earliest in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
