Pakistan envoy, ACIAR chief discuss ways to expand Pakistan-Australia agri cooperation

SYDNEY, Sep 22 (APP): High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia Irfan Shaukat on Tuesday met with CEO of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Dr Nick Austin and held “productive” discussions on strengthening Pakistan–Australia cooperation in agriculture and livestock.

The high commissioner appreciated ACIAR’s longstanding partnership with Pakistan and reviewed ongoing research cooperation in livestock, horticulture, crop productivity, water management and climate-resilient agriculture.

They also discussed opportunities to further expand research, innovation and institutional linkages in areas of mutual interest.
