Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday launched a crackdown against illegal slaughterhouses and detected an unauthorised slaughterhouse in the Mangni Lok area of Sargodha.
520 kg substandard meat seized
SARGODHA, Sep 22 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday launched a crackdown against illegal slaughterhouses and detected an unauthorised slaughterhouse in the Mangni Lok area of Sargodha.
According to a spokesman,the PFA team recovered 520 kilograms of substandard and unhygienic meat from the site.
The recovered meat was examined by a veterinary doctor on the spot and declared it highly harmful for human consumption.The meat was destroyed and discarded immediately.
A case was registered against owner while further investigation was underway.
