ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Renowned Urdu poet and psychoanalyst Rais Amrohvi was remembered on his 38th death anniversary on Tuesday.
Born on September 12, 1914, Amrohvi migrated to Pakistan on October 19, 1947, and settled in Karachi.
He earned recognition for his distinctive style of qat’a nigari and made significant efforts to promote Urdu language in Pakistan.
Amrohvi also established the Rais Academy, which aimed to help people improve their emotional and moral well-being.
He authored several books on metaphysics, meditation and yoga and was also known for his contributions to Urdu literature and intellectual thought.
Rais Amrohvi died on September 22, 1988.
