LHC disposes of Rajab Butt’s petition over meeting with minor son
LAHORE, Sep 21 (APP):The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday disposed of a petition filed by YouTuber Rajab Butt seeking permission to meet his minor son, directing him to approach the Guardian and Appellate Courts for restoration of arrangements for meeting the child.
Justice Abher Gul Khan issued a written order on the petition concerning Butt’s meetings with his minor son.
The court observed that the father’s grievances were already pending before the Guardian and Appellate Courts. Therefore, the high court declined to interfere with the matter concerning the suspension of the Guardian Judge’s September 7 order.
The court observed that Butt could raise all his grievances before the Appellate Court and could also approach the relevant court for restoration of arrangements allowing him to meet his son.
The written order directed the subordinate courts to consider the father’s application in accordance with the law, while keeping the welfare and best interests of the minor child paramount.
Rajab Butt had approached the high court seeking implementation of the Guardian Judge’s September 7 order and had also requested that the Additional District Judge’s September 15 order be set aside.
He had sought permission to meet his minor son, Kaivan Ali.
