TEHRAN, Sep 21 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday met with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during his visit to Tehran and held discussions on Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and the latest regional situation.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed progress on ongoing cooperation between the interior ministries of Pakistan and Iran in various sectors. They discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged views on strengthening coordination between the two neighboring countries. The meeting also focused on regional developments and efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts to promote regional peace and stability. He said Iran appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts for the establishment of peace in the region.
The Iranian minister stated that Pakistan’s recent role and initiatives for regional peace were valued and acknowledged by Iran. He added that Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace and stability were important for the region.
Eskandar Momeni also termed his recent visit to Pakistan as very useful. He said the visit helped strengthen communication and understanding between the two countries and contributed to further cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy close relations and cooperation at different levels. He expressed confidence that bilateral relations between the two countries would become stronger in the coming period.
The two ministers agreed on the importance of enhancing cooperation and maintaining close contact to further strengthen ties between Pakistan and Iran.
