FAISALABAD, Sep 21 (APP):The Commissioner Cup Inter-Divisional Public Schools Cricket Tournament concluded
at the Divisional Model College.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh attended the concluding ceremony as chief guest and called for sustained sporting activities in educational institutions to promote healthy competition, physical fitness and sportsmanship among students.
He congratulated the school administration and tournament organizers for holding the cricket competition and distributed prizes and trophies among the participating players.
Addressing the young cricketers, he said that participation in sports was imperative for maintaining good
health and developing a positive and disciplined outlook.
He urged the students to demonstrate sportsman spirit on the playing field and promote healthy competition by setting aside the fear of defeat.
He said that competitions in different sports would continue to be organized under the public schools
system to provide students opportunities to develop their sporting abilities alongside their academic pursuits.
Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh also attended the opening ceremony of the Junior Super League 2026 football tournament at the Premier Campus of Divisional Public School & College.
He encouraged the participating players and appreciated the organizers for arranging an impressive opening ceremony.
He urged students to regularly participate in sports competitions to maintain physical fitness and develop teamwork, discipline and a healthy competitive spirit.
