ISLAMABAD, Sep 20 (APP):Adviser to Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad said Sunday that Pakistan’s net foreign direct investment (FDI) rose to $316 million in August 2026, marking the highest monthly level in two years.
In a post on X, Schehzad said the increase was driven by stronger investment inflows coupled with lower repatriation and outflows, resulting in a significantly improved net FDI position during the month.
He described the development as a positive sign as Pakistan moves from macroeconomic stability towards investment-led and sustainable economic growth.
