MIRPUR (AJK), Sep 20 (APP):The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF- Yasin) has once again strongly condemned the false implication of incarcerated party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik by the government of India in a 36 year old gruesome murder case of Sarla Bhat, a local Kashmiri Pandit woman.
In a statement issued from the party’s central information office, the JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar said on Sunday that yesterday during the hearing of the case in additional session court Srinagar, advocate Abu Adil Pandit, on the directions of Yasin Malik, through an application sought permission of the court to withdraw his power of attorney (vakalatnama).
It is worth mentioning that Yasin Malik, while very deeply looking at the level of the Indian government’s ill-intentions against him, and the level of the charge he was falsely implicated in, has not only denied the accusation but has also decided not to contest the case at all, the spokesman said.
The 25 paged affidavit submitted recently by Yasin Malik in this court has exposed the Indian face, and the Indian administrative machinery that how far the authorities can go while fulfilling the political agenda of the government of the country, the statement read.
While presenting the actual facts of the Sarla Bhat murder case Yasin Malik in his affidavit questioned authorities, and the Indian government for not filing the charge against him for the last 36 years, the spokesman said.
During the court hearing yesterday, Yasin Malik confirmed the details provided by him in the affidavit as true and termed the decisions mentioned in it as his own including the one of not to contest the Sarla Bhat case for he being falsely implicated in, the statement read.
In the meantime the JKLF has expressed its deep displeasure over the continued stalemate in AJK situation that has aggravated to the extent that both the parties have reached to a critical point. The spokesman reiterated its party stand that instead of use of force dialogue is the only way out to settle the issues.
The JKLF is ready to play its role as mediator if both the parties are willing to resolve the crises through dialogue, the spokesman emphasised. JKLF does not want to let the situation go from bad to worse as it is neither in the interest of both; Pakistan and Kashmiri’s nor in the interest of freedom movement of Jammu Kashmir, he stressed.
