ISLAMABAD, Sep 20 (APP):Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed the agency’s media team to strengthen public awareness efforts against cyber fraud and online harassment to help citizens protect themselves from cybercrime.
An official told APP on Sunday that the DG issued the directions during a meeting with the NCCIA media team, where a strategy was discussed to make the cybercrime awareness campaign more effective and highlight the agency’s work through social media.
Rizvi directed the team to provide citizens with timely and authentic information about ways to protect themselves from cyber fraud and harassment.
He stressed that public awareness should be strengthened through effective use of social media so that citizens could recognise cyber threats and take precautionary measures.
The meeting also discussed ways to improve communication about NCCIA’s activities and performance through its social media platforms.
