ISLAMABAD, Sep 19 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested six members of two dacoit gangs, including the Munna Gang, allegedly involved in dacoity and street robbery incidents, and recovered looted and snatched valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from their possession.
An official told APP on Saturday that the Phulgran Police Station team carried out the operation and recovered cash, expensive mobile phones, a digital video recorder (DVR) and a motorcycle from the arrested accused.
Police also recovered three pistols with ammunition and a dagger allegedly used in criminal activities.
The official said the Munna Gang was allegedly involved in a robbery at Nauman Traders in the limits of Phulgran Police Station in August this year.
During preliminary investigation, the arrested accused disclosed their alleged involvement in several other criminal incidents, he added.
DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem said all legal requirements would be completed to ensure punishment for those involved in the crimes.
He said ICT Police would continue indiscriminate action against criminals depriving citizens of their valuable property.
