ISLAMABAD, Sep 18 (APP):A delegation of the Wazirabad Press Club visited the Digital Communication Department (DCD) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, where it was briefed on the department’s functions, scope of work,and ongoing initiatives.
Federal Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar told the delegation that digital platforms had become an important means of providing timely information to the public and ensuring effective communication.
He said countering misleading content, propaganda and negative campaigns was among the priorities of the DCD.
The minister stressed the need for effective use of digital platforms to provide people with accurate information about government initiatives and matters of national importance.
The delegation was briefed on various measures taken by the ministry to strengthen digital communication and its progress in the field.
Members of the Wazirabad Press Club appreciated the ministry’s initiatives and activities aimed at improving digital communication.
