Mohsin Naqvi orders immediate release of medicine containers after taking notice of media reports
ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP):Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday took immediate notice of news reports aired on television channels regarding the stopping of medicine containers and contacted the Inspector General of Islamabad Police and the Chief Commissioner Islamabad to address the issue.
Following the reports, Mohsin Naqvi spoke with the IG Islamabad Police and the Chief Commissioner Islamabad and directed them to ensure the immediate release of the containers that had been taken into custody.
The Interior Minister issued clear instructions that medicine containers and vehicles carrying medicines should not be stopped under any circumstances. He emphasized that the movement of medicines must continue without interruption.
Mohsin Naqvi further directed the relevant police and administrative authorities to strictly implement these instructions and ensure full compliance.
The minister said that all concerned officials must follow the directives in letter and spirit so that medicine containers and transport vehicles are not hindered in any way.
