ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday reissued notices and sought the recruitment record of the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) after the record was not produced despite an earlier court order.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard a petition filed by Ahmed Mujtaba, a candidate for the post of Assistant Director at PIPS. The petitioner appeared in person before the court.
The court was informed that the recruitment record could not be produced despite its earlier direction.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked that the petitioner had stood up for his right and brought the matter before the court, which was a positive step.
Counsel Shahzad Shaukat did not appear before the court and an application seeking adjournment was submitted on his behalf.
The court reissued notices to the concerned authorities and directed PIPS to produce the relevant record. The hearing was adjourned until October 5.
The petitioner has challenged the recruitment results and sought suspension of the operation of the results dated November 4, 2025.
He has also sought suspension of the appointment, salary and performance of duties of respondent No. 5 as Assistant Director PDP, besides directions to preserve the recruitment record.
