IGP Sohail visits families of Police martyrs, injured officer

ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP):Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Wednesday visited the homes of police martyrs and an injured officer, assuring their families of continued support and welfare.
An official told APP that the IGP Sohail met the families of martyred ASI Mohsin Zafar, Constable Saif Ali Shah, who died during service, and Ghazi Constable Muhammad Hanif, who was injured in the line of duty.
Sohail paid tribute to the sacrifices of police martyrs, spent time with their children and distributed gifts among them.
The IGP Sohail also met Constable Muhammad Hanif, inquired about his health and appreciated his services to the police department. Police martyrs are our heroes and their sacrifices will always be remembered, the IGP said.
He said respecting and looking after the families of martyrs was the responsibility of Islamabad Police, adding that their welfare and timely resolution of their problems would remain a priority.
Sohail said officers injured in the line of duty were a valuable asset to the police force and their services would never be forgotten.
Islamabad Police will always remember its martyrs and Ghazis and will stand by their families,” he said.
The IGP directed concerned officers to ensure all possible assistance to the families of police martyrs and injured personnel and address their problems without delay.
