FCCI President congratulates FMU VC Dr Asghar Naqvi
FAISALABAD, Sep 15 (APP):Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh
has congratulated Dr Syed Asghar Naqvi on his appointment as Vice Chancellor of Faisalabad
Medical University (FMU) and expressed confidence that his leadership would help transform
the institution into a fully-fledged university while also strengthening industry-academia linkages.
In his message here on Tuesday, the FCCI President extended his best wishes to Dr Naqvi
on assuming the key academic position and expressed the hope that he would utilize his
professional and administrative capabilities to further develop the university and enhance
its academic standing.
He said that FMU had an important role to play in the development of medical education,
research and healthcare services in the region.
He hoped that the new vice chancellor would focus on creating a stronger academic environment
and expanding opportunities for meaningful collaboration between the university and the
industrial sector.
He said that closer industry-academia linkages were imperative for promoting research,
innovation and practical solutions to emerging challenges.
The FCCI would welcome initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the
business community and Faisalabad Medical University, he added.
