House burglary gang leader arrested in Morgah, valuables recovered
RAWALPINDI, Sep 15 (APP):Police have arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang involved in house burglaries and recovered stolen items including gold jewellery, an iPhone and other valuables worth more than Rs3 million.
According to police spokesperson on Tuesday, Morgah police also confiscated vehicle used in the crime.
Police said the arrested suspect is a known offender who had previously been involved in cases of robbery and illegal possession of weapons.
The suspect was arrested after Morgha Police used technical and human intelligence sources to trace and apprehend him, police said.
Raids are being conducted to arrest his accomplices, while the arrested suspect will be challaned with solid evidence, said SP Potohar Chaudhry Asar Ali.
The police spokesperson said further investigation into the case is underway.
