ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP):The Islamabad district administration has stepped up implementation of the Prime Minister’s fuel relief scheme, ensuring that subsidised petrol is available to eligible citizens through a monitored distribution system and a simplified registration process.
According to the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon visited several petrol pumps in the federal capital to review compliance with the government’s policy. During the visits, he inspected arrangements at fuel stations and assessed measures taken to provide petrol at reduced prices under the relief scheme.
Officials said a digital dashboard was being used for strict monitoring of petrol pumps to ensure that subsidised fuel was being provided in accordance with the government’s guidelines. The monitoring system was aimed at improving transparency and ensuring that the benefits of the relief package reached the intended beneficiaries.
Deputy Commissioner, Irfan Memon said the administration was fully committed to implementing the government’s policy and ensuring that citizens receive the relief announced under the scheme. He stated that every fuel station has been directed to follow the prescribed procedures and facilitate eligible consumers seeking to benefit from the programme.
To make access easier for the public, the government has introduced a simplified registration mechanism. Citizens can complete the registration process from their homes and become eligible to receive subsidised petrol without visiting government offices or completing lengthy procedures.
The deputy commissioner said all petrol stations have been made responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of the relief programme and providing support to registered consumers. He added that awareness material and advertisements explaining the scheme have been displayed at fuel stations across Islamabad so that people can obtain information about eligibility and registration requirements.
According to the administration, the awareness campaign is intended to help more citizens understand the process and benefit from the government’s support measures. Officials believe that clear information, digital monitoring and cooperation from fuel station operators will help ensure effective implementation of the scheme.
The district administration said it will continue monitoring fuel stations and reviewing compliance to make sure the relief provided by the government reaches the public without disruption.
