PESHAWAR, Sep 15 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan visited the University of Buner, where he held a meeting with the university administration, faculty members and concerned officials.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the welfare and development of the institution, improvement of the academic environment, issues faced by students, promotion of research activities and future development plans of the university.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is committed to the development of the education sector and ensuring quality educational facilities for the younger generation.
He said that universities are centers of knowledge, research and innovation, and strengthening these institutions is essential for the bright and progressive future of the province.
The Provincial Minister stated that the development of higher education institutions like the University of Buner is among the priorities of the government.
He assured that effective measures would be taken through relevant forums to resolve the issues faced by the university so that the institution can continue its academic and research activities in a more effective manner.
Syed Fakhar Jehan reiterated that the government is utilizing all available resources for providing necessary facilities to students and educational institutions, improving educational standards and creating better opportunities for the youth.
On the occasion, the university administration briefed the Provincial Minister about the overall performance of the institution, ongoing academic and research projects, existing needs and future development plans.
