Foolproof arrangements finalized for MDCAT 2026; 38842 candidates to appear
PESHAWAR, Sep 15 (APP):A high-level meeting was held at Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, to review arrangements for the transparent, secure and peaceful conduct of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Khaliq ur Rehman and KMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Nazli.
The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements relating to examination centres, security, traffic management, candidate screening and medical facilities, and finalized all necessary measures for the smooth conduct of the examination.
MDCAT 2026 will be conducted simultaneously in 60 air-conditioned halls across Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Lower Dir, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Mansehra, Haripur and Abbottabad, 38842 candidate expected to appear.
A medical camp and ambulance service will be available at every examination centre to provide immediate medical assistance in case of any emergency.
Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination centres with empty pockets; however, strict security screening will be carried out at all entry points.
Mobile phones, watches, smartwatches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, other electronic gadgets, purses, bags, jewellery and other unnecessary items will be strictly prohibited.
Candidates are advised to reach their respective examination centres well before the scheduled time and must bring their roll number slip and required identification document.
Authorities have made it clear that transparency, merit, discipline and security will not be compromised under any circumstances.
