RAWALPINDI, Sep 15 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has intensified monitoring and inspection of food businesses across Rawalpindi to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
According to food authority officials, inspection teams are checking food businesses for valid licences, hygienic conditions, food storage practices, cleanliness of premises and overall compliance with prescribed safety standards.
The officials said food business operators are also being guided to complete the required licensing process and maintain proper hygiene arrangements. Businesses found violating food safety regulations may face action in accordance with the law.
The authority has also been collecting relevant data of food businesses during inspections to improve monitoring and ensure that operators remain compliant with food safety requirements.
Officials said the inspection and awareness drive would continue across different areas of Rawalpindi.
