Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmad Mughis on Monday directed officers of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) and other relevant departments to make enforcement operations more effective, coordinated and result-oriented, ensuring indiscriminate legal action against violations and prompt redressal of public complaints.

SARGODHA, Sep 14 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmad Mughis on Monday directed
officers of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) and other relevant departments to make enforcement operations more effective, coordinated and result-oriented, ensuring indiscriminate legal action against violations and prompt redressal of public complaints.
He issued the directions while chairing a review meeting of the District Enforcement
Committee. Officials of the Environment Department, PERA and other relevant
departments attended the meeting, while Assistant Commissioners participated
through video link.
The meeting reviewed implementation of government directives and action against
overcharging, profiteering, hoarding, encroachments, illegal commercial activities,
unauthorised land use, adulteration and sale of harmful food items.
Ahmad Mughis directed Assistant Commissioners, Price Magistrates and other
enforcement officers to ensure their presence in the field and conduct regular
inspections of major markets and sensitive locations.
He directed departments to improve coordination, compile daily and weekly reports
of enforcement activities and maintain complete records of fines, FIRs, confiscations
and removal of encroachments.
He made it clear that negligence in implementation of government directives would
not be tolerated.
