Rawalpindi Police tighten security at Churches on CPO directives
RAWALPINDI, Sep 13 (APP):Police have tightened security at churches and other important locations across the city, with senior officers personally monitoring security arrangements in the field on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera.
SP Potohar, SDPOs and other senior officers visited churches and key sites to inspect security measures. Police personnel are ensuring thorough body searches before allowing worshippers to enter churches while additional security measures have been put in place to ensure foolproof protection.
According to Police spokesperson, all necessary steps were being taken to safeguard citizens and worshippers, adding that the protection of lives and property remains the department’s top priority. Officers and personnel will continue to remain deployed in the field to prevent crime and maintain a secure environment across Rawalpindi, he added.
