Civil Defence personnel’s services highly commendable: Zahid Bakhtawari
RAWALPINDI, Sep 13 (APP):Vice President of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) Zahid Bakhtawari has said the services of Civil Defence personnel are highly commendable, appreciating their dedication, honesty and commitment to national service even in difficult circumstances.
He expressed these views while presenting honorary shields to Civil Defence officers and officials in recognition of their services. The recipients included Additional Chief Warden Rawalpindi Civil Defence Uzair Zahid Bakhtawari, Chief Warden Civil Defence Islamabad Mehr Shahid Iqbal, Civil Defence Officer Rawalpindi Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa and Divisional Chief Warden Rehan-ul-Haq, along with other officials and dignitaries.
Zahid Bakhtawari said Defence Day reminded everyone to perform their responsibilities for the protection, security and stability of the country with greater commitment and honesty. He added that recognising the services of Civil Defence personnel would further strengthen the spirit of national service.
The Civil Defence officials also paid tribute to Zahid Bakhtawari for his continued support and cooperation, saying he had always stood by the department in difficult situations.
Civil Defence Officer Rawalpindi Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa said Civil Defence was an important national responsibility in which public cooperation was essential. He said stronger coordination between the public and Civil Defence could help ensure better protection of lives and property during emergencies
