VC FJWU expands academic, innovation links with German institutions in Berlin
RAWALPINDI, Sep 13 (APP):Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Rawalpindi, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza held strategic discussions with leading educational and technological hubs in Berlin to advance university-industry linkages, foster entrepreneurship and build research pipelines between Pakistan and Germany.
During her visit, Dr. Bushra met with Vice President of the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin) Prof. Dr. Silke Bustamante. The dialogue centered on establishing formal bilateral institutional linkages, facilitating faculty and student exchange programs, and launching joint research initiatives to address global economic and management challenges.
To strengthen emphasis on technology transfer and commercialization, the Vice Chancellor also toured Technology Park Adlershof, one of Europe’s premier science, technology, and innovation clusters. The visit provided first-hand insights into ecosystems where academic research directly integrates with tech startups and industrial enterprises, offering a benchmark model for FJWU’s own innovation and entrepreneurial programs.
The strategic engagements reinforce FJWU’s mission to expand its global footprint, said the university spokesperson adding that FJWU is striving to integrate international best practices into its academic structure, and unlock international opportunities for its researchers, faculty, and students.
