KP Food Authority discards 150 litres adulterated milk in DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, Sep 13 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority team, during an inspection of milk, meat and other food outlets on Multan Road, detected adulteration in milk and discarded 150 litres of adulterated milk on the spot.
The operation was conducted on the special directives of Director General KP Food Safety and Halal Food Authority Kashif Iqbal Jilani and under the supervision of Deputy Director Halal Food Authority Dera Ibrahim Khan, in collaboration with Livestock Department officials.
Using a mobile laboratory, the team tested milk samples at the spot and found water adulteration. Fines were also imposed on the relevant shopkeepers.
The team further checked the quality of yoghurt and inspected meat outlets for hygiene and sanitation standards. Officials said action against adulterated and substandard food items would continue.
