LAHORE, Sep 13 (APP):In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to keep the provincial capital beautiful and smog-free, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has initiated a extensive drive to plant flowering trees across the city.
According to PHA Managing Director Ahmed Usman Javed, hundreds of new Amaltas (Golden Shower) saplings have been planted along Lake City Road in Zone-VII as part of the campaign.
He stated that the plantation drive would further include various vibrant flowering species, such as Gulmohar, Jacaranda, Gul-e-Nishtar, and Buddha trees, to add scenic color to the city’s main thoroughfares.
The Managing Director highlighted that suitable locations for planting these flowering trees had been identified across all administrative zones of Lahore.
