The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has arrested a wanted human smuggling suspect while he was allegedly attempting to leave the country, after his name triggered an alert on the IBMS stop list during immigration clearance.

ISLAMABAD, Sep 13 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has arrested a wanted human smuggling suspect while he was allegedly attempting to leave the country, after his name triggered an alert on the IBMS stop list during immigration clearance.
An official told APP on Sunday that the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad arrested the accused, identified as Ibrahim Khan, who was wanted in human smuggling case No. 290/2025.
According to the case, the accused and his accomplices allegedly promised to arrange Denmark employment visas for the victims against Rs2.2 million per person.
The official said most of the agreed amount had already been paid by the victims.
He said Ibrahim Khan was attempting to travel abroad when his details generated a stop-list hit in the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) during immigration clearance, leading to his arrest.
The accused was subsequently handed over to FIA AHTC Islamabad for further legal action and investigation.
The official said investigation was continuing to determine the role of the accused’s other accomplices and facilitators in the case.
