Tank administration takes action on education, public issues, development and cleanliness

TANK, Sep 13 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Tank Jamshed Khan has intensified administrative activities across the district, focusing on redressal of education-related complaints, restoration of mobile network services, improvement of civic infrastructure, removal of encroachments and cleanliness of public areas.

Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan chaired an open court on education to provide teachers and citizens an opportunity to directly present their complaints and problems concerning the Education Department.

District Police Officer Tank Abdul Samad, male and female education officers, teachers, citizens and other relevant officials attended the open court.

Participants raised various issues relating to government schools, shortage of basic educational facilities, administrative matters and other problems. The deputy commissioner listened to the complaints and issued directions to the concerned officers for their prompt and effective resolution.

A citizen also lodged a complaint against an Education Department clerk identified as Salman. Taking immediate notice, the deputy commissioner directed the relevant authorities to initiate action. The clerk was subsequently suspended, while further proceedings were initiated to examine the complaint and ascertain the facts.

The deputy commissioner directed the education authorities to resolve genuine problems on a priority basis and ensure that matters requiring immediate action were addressed without delay. He stressed transparency, accountability and timely redressal of public grievances.

In another important administrative initiative, Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan chaired a meeting to discuss the prolonged suspension and weak mobile network services in Gomal, which have been causing difficulties for residents, students, businesspeople and other consumers.

Representatives of different mobile phone companies, local youth and elders participated in the meeting and discussed the problems resulting from the unavailability of reliable mobile communication services.

The deputy commissioner directed representatives of the mobile companies to take all necessary technical and administrative measures for early restoration of network services in Gomal. He stressed that the matter should be treated as a priority and resolved through coordinated efforts among the relevant institutions and companies.

The local youth and elders appreciated the initiative of the deputy commissioner for bringing representatives of the mobile companies together and taking up the issue at an official forum.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan inspected the ongoing construction work on Bab-e-Tank, being executed under the beautification project along the Tank-Dera road, and reviewed the progress and quality of the scheme.

Assistant Commissioners Jamshed Alam and Malik Sajid Ali Khan accompanied him during the visit. The deputy commissioner examined different aspects of the construction work and directed the concerned authorities to maintain high construction standards and complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.

He said no compromise would be made on the quality of development and beautification schemes and directed that Bab-e-Tank should be completed in a manner befitting the beauty and identity of Tank city.

Separately, the district administration launched a crackdown against temporary encroachments along both sides of the main road from Traffic Point to Durand Gate in Tank tehsil to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate pedestrians and the business community.

Assistant Commissioner Malik Sajid Ali Khan supervised the operation, during which temporary encroachments were removed from different parts of the market. Shopkeepers found violating the regulations were issued notices and strictly warned against re-establishing encroachments.

The district administration warned that illegal encroachments would not be tolerated and that indiscriminate action would continue against violators. It also urged traders and businesspeople to comply with the law and cooperate with the administration.

The week-long cleanliness campaign is also continuing in Tank on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan in accordance with the provincial government’s instructions.

Teams of the Tehsil Municipal Administration are carrying out sanitation activities in markets, neighbourhoods, streets and other areas, while garbage and accumulated waste are being removed to improve the cleanliness and appearance of the city.

The campaign is aimed at providing residents with a clean and healthy environment and improving civic conditions across Tank. The administration has urged citizens and traders to cooperate with sanitation staff and avoid dumping waste at public places.

The district administration said that coordinated efforts by government departments, traders and citizens were essential for improving public services, maintaining cleanliness, removing encroachments and ensuring a better urban environment in the district.
