Tank police have intensified a crackdown against criminal elements, law violators and illegal moneylenders on the directives of District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan, under the vision of Regional Police Officer Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Maken.
Tank police arrest two alleged moneylenders, three other suspects
TANK, Sep 13 (APP):Tank police have intensified a crackdown against criminal elements, law violators and illegal moneylenders on the directives of District Police Officer Abdul Samad Khan, under the vision of Regional Police Officer Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Maken.
According to Tank police spokesman, checkpoints were established at various points across the district while patrolling and checking of suspicious vehicles, motorcycles, houses and individuals were also carried out as part of the ongoing security measures.
Under the supervision of City Deputy Superintendent of Police Sharifullah Khan Kundi, City Police Station SHO Samiullah Khan, along with his team, arrested two alleged moneylenders, identified as Shafqatullah alias Shaukat, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Qutab Colony, and Sarab Gul, son of Amanullah, resident of Pathan Kot. The arrests were made in connection with FIR No. 253/26 registered under Sections 3/4 of the Interest Act.
In another action, police arrested two suspects, Janzeb, son of Jahangir, and Tariq Khan, son of Akhtar Zaman, both residents of Garah Mithu, in connection with FIR No. 249/26 registered under Sections 34 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Police also arrested proclaimed offender Shafiqur Rehman, son of Atta-ur-Rehman, resident of Pathan Kot, who was wanted in FIR No. 235/26 under Section 462-I of the Pakistan Penal Code. Another proclaimed offender, Abdul Hakeem, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Razzaq Colony, who was wanted in FIR No. 232/26 under Section 462-I, appeared before the court and was taken into custody after obtaining bail before arrest.
Meanwhile, action was also taken against persons under Sections 55/109 and 107/151 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, while police further tightened the noose around a suspect wanted in a murder case registered under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The Tank police said operations against criminal and anti-social elements would continue without discrimination in order to maintain law and order and protect citizens.
