Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights have met with DIG Hazara to discuss the case of four-year-old Ayat Noor of Haripur, her family’s concerns and the progress of the investigation.
Ayat Noor case: investigation team to submit report within 15 days
ABBOTTABAD, Sep 12 (APP):Members of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights have met with DIG Hazara to discuss the case of four-year-old Ayat Noor of Haripur, her family’s concerns and the progress of the investigation.
Speaking on the occasion, MNAs Sher Afzal Marwat and Babar Nawaz Khan said justice would be ensured in the Ayat Noor case. They said a newly constituted investigation team would complete its report within 15 days and assured that all legal requirements would be fulfilled and the case taken to its logical conclusion.
Babar Nawaz Khan said the concerns of Ayat Noor’s family had been conveyed to the RPO Hazara. He assured the people of Haripur that the investigation would be conducted transparently and justice would be provided.
Talking about the political situation, Sher Afzal Marwat said there would be no long march on September 27. He claimed that people would gather in Swabi and return from there, adding that the public had been kept waiting for the proposed long march without any result.
He also called for the creation of smaller provinces, saying that the existing system had become corrupt and required fundamental reforms.
