ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has paid rich tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on the occasion of his 78th death anniversary, acknowledging his visionary leadership, principled politics and tireless struggle for the creation of Pakistan.
In his message, the minister said Quaid-i-Azam’s far-sighted leadership, adherence to principles and relentless efforts transformed the dream of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent into reality.
He said Quaid-i-Azam envisioned Pakistan as a strong, sovereign and prosperous state, adding that it was the collective responsibility of the nation to translate his vision into reality.
Hanif Abbasi said the present government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, was taking practical steps to steer Pakistan towards development, economic stability and prosperity in line with the vision of Quaid-i-Azam.
He said the journey towards Pakistan’s development and prosperity must continue, while improvement and reforms in every sector were essential for realizing the Quaid’s dream.
The minister said reforms in Pakistan Railways, adoption of modern technology, digitalization and improvement of infrastructure were important components of the government’s development vision.
He said transforming Pakistan Railways into a modern, safe, profitable and people-friendly institution would be an important step towards realizing Quaid-i-Azam’s dream of a strong and developed Pakistan.
Hanif Abbasi said that Pakistan Railways was rapidly moving forward to play a more effective role in strengthening the national economy, promoting trade and improving connectivity among the people.
The minister emphasized that making the Quaid-i-Azam’s principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline the guiding principles was a national responsibility to build a developed, prosperous and strong Pakistan.
He reaffirmed that the government and the entire nation were committed to building a strong, sovereign and prosperous Pakistan in the light of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision.
