FUUAST, KFU discuss academic cooperation, 3rd Pakistan Russia International Conference 2027
ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 (APP):The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Islamabad and Kazan Federal University (KFU) Russia discussed further academic cooperation and preparations for the 3rd Pakistan Russia International Conference 2027, in an online meeting held.
The meeting discussed joint degree programmes, joint research and cooperation in different fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Pharmacy. The participants also discussed more academic interaction between teachers and students of both universities.
The meeting was attended by senior faculty members and officials from both universities. From FUUAST, the participants included Dr. Hina Mudassir Director ORIC, Dr Lubna Bashir Incharge Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr Saba Bashir, Chairperson Department of Artificial Intelligence, Khawaja Tahir from the Department of Computer Science, Dr Faisal Javaid, Head of the Department IR & Mass Communication and Deputy Director ORIC, Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan and Dr. Amir Ahmed Farooqui.
The KFU delegation was led by Dr Timirkhan Alishev, Vice Rector, Kazan Federal University, Dr Artem Valentinovich Krestyaninov, Acting Dean of the Higher School of International Relations and World History, Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies, KFU, Dr Rustem Chanyshev and other faculty members and officials also attended the meeting.
The participants also reviewed the progress on the publication of the 2nd Russian-Pakistani International Conference Book, Edited Volume. The conference was held in Kazan in May 2026.
The participants discussed preparations for the 3rd Pakistan Russia International Conference 2027, which is proposed to be held in Islamabad. The conference will follow the first two conferences held in Karachi in 2025 and Kazan in 2026.
The participants agreed to continue coordination for the successful organization of the 3rd conference and to further strengthen cooperation in research, higher education, faculty and student engagement and other academic areas.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to further strengthen academic and research links between FUUAST and Kazan Federal University and promote Pakistan Russia academic cooperation and people-to-people relations.
