Dr. Tariq pays tribute to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz on her death anniversary
ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 (APP):Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday paid tribute to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, praising her courage and steadfastness during a difficult period in the country’s political history.
In a message marking her death anniversary, he said Begum Kulsoom Nawaz demonstrated courage during the dark period of dictatorship and made significant efforts for the restoration of democracy and supremacy of the Constitution.
Dr Tariq said her democratic struggle remained an unforgettable chapter in the country’s political history. He said she did not compromise on her principles even in the most difficult circumstances and continued her democratic struggle despite numerous challenges.
The minister said Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s sacrifices for democracy would always be remembered. He described her struggle for democracy and constitutional supremacy as highly commendable.
