RAWALPINDI, Sep 10 (APP):The Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi organized an impressive art exhibition in connection with Defence Day, highlighting the bravery and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the spirit of patriotism and national unity.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb and Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Shazia Rizwan attended the exhibition as chief guests.
The artworks displayed at the exhibition depicted the historic 1965 war, sacrifices of martyrs and Ghazis, patriotism and the spirit of defending the motherland through creative and artistic expressions.
The chief guests visited the exhibition and appreciated the artists for their creative efforts and contribution towards promoting national sentiments through art.
The visitors also appreciated the artworks presented in different styles, saying such activities helped highlight the importance of national unity, patriotism and the spirit of defending the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Director Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor thanked the chief guests for attending the exhibition and said that organizing such cultural and artistic activities on Defence Day played an important role in promoting patriotism, national unity and love for the country among the younger generation.
