SC, NADRA sign MoU to strengthen digital court services

ISLAMABAD, Sep 10 (APP):The Supreme Court of Pakistan and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize and strengthen cooperation for the Court’s website and mobile application services.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Supreme Court by its Registrar, while NADRA was represented by its Chief Projects Officer.
Under the agreement, NADRA will provide hosting, backend infrastructure, technical support and maintenance for the Supreme Court’s website and mobile application, besides facilitating approved upgrades and improvements in line with the Court’s requirements.
The digital platforms provide public access to cause lists, judgments and other authorized judicial and institutional information, enabling litigants, lawyers and the general public to access court information and services more conveniently.
NADRA will also continue providing technical assistance for the Supreme Court’s 1818 Helpline to further strengthen digital connectivity and public facilitation.
The collaboration forms part of the Supreme Court’s broader technology-enabled reform agenda aimed at making judicial services more accessible, secure, efficient and responsive.
The initiative would also strengthen public connectivity and contribute towards a more citizen-centric justice system.
