ISLAMABAD, Sep 10 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have emphasized the importance of maintaining close consultations on regional matters including through the Regional Four (R4) framework with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The deputy prime minister and foreign minister spoke late last night with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, a press statement issued by the Foreign Office said on Thursday.
The two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest.
They reaffirmed their shared position on Palestine and support for the joint statement by the eight Arab-Islamic countries on the UK’s decision to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements and restrict services linked to such settlements, as well as the Joint Statement on the Two-State Solution by the UK and other European countries.
The two leaders also agreed to meet on the sidelines of the forthcoming UNGA in New York.
